Installation sequence

  1. Lay the beveled edge strips first, hard against the deck edge — 51⅞″ entry, 99⅜″ west, 173⅜″ corridor south. Two beveled corner pieces on the left.
  2. Clip whole 305 × 305 mm tiles onto the strips and work right and down. One grid across the whole deck, so the corridor and the main deck mesh at the inside corner.
  3. Cut the last tiles flush at the far side — the 242″ right wall, the 180½″ south edge, the 190¼″ main-deck west edge, the 302¼″ north wall and 47½″. All the leftover lands here, away from the entrance. Cut the edge that faces outward; the edge facing into the deck stays a factory edge, so every cut tile still interlocks with the field.

No beveled strip ever meets a cut edge, and no tile inside the field is cut.

Two notes on the strips.

1 — The 51⅞″ and 173⅜″ strips are cut lengthwise from 50 mm to 42 mm. The clear span between those two edges is 2524 mm, which is exactly 8 whole tiles (2440 mm) plus 84 mm. Removing 8 mm from each strip is what lets both of those edges be beveled against whole tiles, with the strips hard on the deck edge. The 99⅜″ strip stays full 50 mm width.

2 — One grid, squared off the entry and the left. The deck is not a whole number of 305 mm modules, so there is leftover. It is all pushed to the bottom and right, where the tiles are cut flush and the stone below carries the edge. The entrance and the corridor are exact.

Beveled strip runs 边条明细

  • Color required: SAND / BEIGE for tiles and strips. 颜色：沙色 / 米色 Also called “almond”. Your spec sheet lists only grey, blue and black (灰、蓝、黑) — please confirm sand is available, as shown in your listing photographs.
  • Storm reserve. Anguilla is in the hurricane belt and this is a loose-laid mat, so the order carries a reserve on top of the usual 5% installation spare: 10% on tiles (43 — enough to relay about 40 ft²), 30% on strips (9) and 5 spare corners. The perimeter is what wind lifts first, which is why the strips and corners carry the deeper reserve.
  • Buy it with this order, not later. A second production run will not colour-match a sand batch, and the reserve adds only 0.06 m³ and 18 kg to a consignment that is already at the LCL minimum — so it is close to free on freight.

All cuts are at the deck boundary. Cut the edge that faces the wall or the open side — never an edge that receives a strip, and never a tile inside the field.

Open questions

  1. Male 公边条 / female 母边条 split. The tile presents its male edge on two sides and its female edge on the other two. Please tell us which strip type goes on which face, so we order the right quantity of each across the three runs.
  2. Strips cut lengthwise. 20 of the 29 strips are cut from 50 mm to 42 mm — the 51⅞″ and 173⅜″ runs. Please confirm the clips still hold at that width.
  3. Sand / beige in tile and strip.
  4. Flush joint. You have confirmed tile and strip are both 14 mm. Please confirm the strip finishes flush with the tile surface, no step at the joint — barefoot pool deck.
  5. UV and heat. Permanent outdoor Caribbean exposure, surface 45–50 °C. Please confirm UV stabilisation and heat stability.
  6. Carton quantities for tiles, strips and corners, so we can round the order to full cartons — and confirm any minimum order quantity on the strips and corners separately.
  7. Same production batch for the whole order including the reserve, so the spares colour-match the deck.
  8. Sample set before we order, and FOB and CIF Anguilla quotations.
