Installation sequence

Lay the beveled edge strips first, hard against the deck edge — down the main-deck west side (190¼″), along the bottom of the corridor (173⅜″) and across the entry (51⅞″). No corner pieces: 173⅜″ and 190¼″ meet at an inside corner, where the strips simply butt.
Clip whole 305 × 305 mm tiles onto the strips and work right and up. One continuous grid — every tile that is not against a wall is a whole 305 × 305 mm tile.
Cut the last tiles flush where the grid runs into 47½″, 302¼″, 242″, 180½″ and 99⅜″. Cut the edge that faces outward; the inboard edge stays a factory edge, so every cut tile still interlocks into the field.

No beveled strip ever meets a cut edge, and no tile inside the field is cut.

Two notes on the strips.

1 — The 51⅞″ and 173⅜″ strips are cut lengthwise from 50 mm to 42 mm. The clear span between those two edges is 2524 mm, which is exactly 8 whole tiles (2440 mm) plus 84 mm. Removing 8 mm from each strip is what lets both of those edges be beveled against whole tiles, with the strips hard on the deck edge. The 99⅜″ strip stays full 50 mm width.

2 — 99⅜″ and 180½″ are cut edges, not beveled ones, and both for the same reason: the grid can only land on so many edges at once.

• 99⅜″ vs 190¼″. Both face left and their tiles run east off the same column grid, so the gap must be a whole number of 305 mm modules. It is 4404 mm = 14.44 modules — 134 mm short, and cutting the strips only shifts that by ±50 mm. One of the two is beveled; here it is 190¼″.

• 180½″. The rows are already fixed by the 51⅞″/173⅜″ pair. From the entry to the south edge is 7353 mm = 24.0 modules plus 33 mm — 33 mm is not enough for a strip at both ends, so the south edge is cut flush. It would need roughly 33 mm more deck length to take a beveled strip as well.

Cut schedule 裁切明细

All cuts are at the deck boundary. Cut the edge that faces the wall or the open side — never an edge that receives a strip, and never a tile inside the field.

Open questions

Male 公边条 / female 母边条 split. The tile presents its male edge on two sides and its female edge on the other two. Please tell us which strip type goes on which face, so we order the right quantity of each across the three runs.
Strips cut lengthwise. 20 of the 36 strips are cut from 50 mm to 42 mm. Please confirm the clip still holds at that width.
Sand / beige in tile and strip.
Flush joint. You have confirmed tile and strip are both 14 mm. Please confirm the strip finishes flush with the tile surface, no step at the joint — barefoot pool deck.
UV and heat. Permanent outdoor Caribbean exposure, surface 45–50 °C. Please confirm UV stabilisation and heat stability.
